A Few Things About Me
I'm a communications strategist and governance consultant who believes that clarity and personality aren't mutually exclusive.
With nine years as Chief of Staff at a large nonprofit, I've shepherded organizations and B-to-C brands through leadership transitions, board transformations, and strategic repositioning. A lifelong words fanatic, my writing has been distributed through The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, LA Times, and USA Today. I've co-authored a corporate biography and lost track of the number of published ghostwritten editorials. In the world of speechwriting, I've worked with politicians, academics, economists, sports celebrities, physicians, and a famous astronaut (ask me about that story!) I even won a Telly Award once. And somewhere along the way, I learned that the best communications work happens when rigor meets warmth.
Now, I'm focused on helping leaders—nonprofit executives, board chairs, founders, communications directors and individuals—navigate the moments that matter. Whether that's crafting a board report that actually gets read, developing governance frameworks that work in practice (not just on paper), or writing communications that sound like a human being wrote them.
